Discontinuation of the 34 Xpress

The North Front Range Transportation and Air Quality Planning Council, doing business as the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (NFRMPO) have taken action to discontinue 34Xpress commuter bus service operations between Greeley  and Loveland.  The last day of service will be Saturday July 10, 2010.

This notice also serves to notify the public that the NFRMPO will be soliciting public comment on this action for the next 30 days.  Written comments may be mailed to:

The public will also be provided an opportunity to speak on the termination of the 34Xpress at regularly scheduled NFRMPO Planning Council meetings in June and July.  Please refer to http://nfrmpo.org/Home.aspx for meeting dates and times.

34 Xpress

Regional Bus between Greeley and Loveland

The 34-Xpress is a commuter-oriented bus route that runs between Loveland and Greeley along the US Highway 34 corridor. 34-Xpress is a two-year pilot project sponsored by the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (NFRMPO) through a combination of local, state and federal resources.

34-Xpress Information:

Stops on the east end include The Greeley Mall, Aims Community College, Summit View Medical Commons and Promontory Circle with stops at State Farm and JBS Swift. Stops on the west end include the Promenade Shops, Centerra Parkway, The Medical Center of the Rockies and the East Loveland Transfer Center including the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, the Loveland Visitors Center and the Outlet Malls.

The 34-Xpress runs Monday through Saturday from the East Loveland Transfer Center @ The Loveland Visitors Center to the South Greeley Transfer Center @ The Greeley Mall.

On weekdays, service is hourly, with westbound service will starting at the South Greeley Transfer Center at 6:08 a.m. and with the last bus departing at 5:08 p.m.; eastbound service starts at the East Loveland Transfer Center at 6:15 a.m. , with the last bus departing at 6:15 p.m.

On Saturdays, service runs every two hours, with westbound service starting at the South Greeley Transfer Center at 9:08 a.m., with the last bus departing at 5:08 pm; eastbound service starts at the East Loveland Transfer Center at 10:15 a.m., with the last bus departing at 6:15 pm.

EXTENDED LOCAL SERVICE

(Greeley west to Promontory and Loveland east to Promenade Shops)

Adult: $1.00 (free with transfer)
Youth (6-18): $.50 (free with transfer)
Seniors (60 years+): $ .50 (free with transfer)
Passengers with Disabilities: $ .50 (free with transfer)
Children under age 6 ride free

REGIONAL SERVICE

(Greeley west Beyond Promontory and Loveland east Beyond Promenade Shops)

$2.00 ($1.00 with transfer)
Youth (6-18): $1.00 (.50 with transfer)
Seniors (60 years+): $1.00 (.50 with transfer)
Passengers with Disabilities: $1.00 (.50 with transfer)
Children under age 6 ride free

Fare includes a free transfer from the 34-Xpress to the COLT & GET Systems.
