Public Involvement and the NFRMPO
The NFRMPO has updated their Public Involvement Plan
Fort Collins, Colorado—The North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (NFRMPO) has released the update of their Public Involvement Plan (PIP). The plan is a federal requirement for all metropolitan planning organizations and requires a public hearing before it can be updated by the NFRMPO Planning Council.
The PIP outlines the importance of, and establishes specific guidelines for, involving community members, organizations, governments, transportation professionals, and other entities in NFRMPO projects, plans, and programs. The plan was first adopted in November, 2003.
The plan has been updated to reflect new communication technologies, an updated design guide for NFRMPO documents (e.g. letter head, meeting minutes, etc.), and the incorporation of social media.
There will be a public hearing for the PIP during the NFRMPO’s monthly Planning Council meeting which will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2011. The meeting will take place in Severance at the Severance Town Hall, 231 W. Fourth Avenue. Public comment is encouraged.
The plan is available to view online at the following link:
