VanGo Vanpool Seats Available

Layoffs Have Opened Seats on Denver-Metro Destinations

 

Fort Collins, Colorado — The North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (NFRMPO) VanGo Vanpool Services program has seats available on their most popular routes to businesses in the Denver-Metro and Boulder areas.

 

Since 2006, the vanpool program had grown steadily by adding 10-15 routes per year due to increased commuting lengths, increased congestion on I-25, and rising gas prices.  By December of 2008, VanGo had grown to 93 vans and 550 passengers.

 

Due to the business layoffs in the 1st Quarter of 2009, VanGo has shed 12% of it ridership.  VanGo’s most popular routes with frequent waitlists currently have seats available to Denver, Boulder, and Longmont.   We expect these seats to go quickly as we approach the typically popular 2nd quarter for vanpooling.
