State Highway 56 Corridor
ACCESS CONTROL PLAN

Monday, December 8, 2008
4:30 – 7:30 PM.
248 Welch Avenue in downtown Berthoud
The North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (NFRMPO), in cooperation with the Colorado Department of Transportation, will be holding an open house for all interested Berthoud and Johnstown area residents, travelers and property owners who would like to review and comment about a proposed Access Control Plan for the State Highway 56 corridor.
State Highway 56 connects the town of Berthoud to Interstate 25. In addition to the state highway, the proposed plan will address:
- a portion of Larimer County Road 8 between LCR 19 and U.S. 287
- a two-mile-long portion of Weld County Road 44 immediately east of Interstate 25
Displays will show:
- Access management techniques to safely and efficiently accommodate growing traffic
- Proposed future locations of:
o major intersections
o traffic signals
o driveways into private properties
o other intersections
Reasonable accommodations for individuals with physical disabilities will be made.
