About NFRMPO

Organization

For almost 20 years, the North Front Range Transportation and Air Quality Planning Council (NFRT & AQPC) have worked to promote a regional perspective on some of the most pressing issues facing the North Front Range - transportation and air quality.

The NFRMPO Planning Council administers the region's federally mandated transportation and air quality planning processes. This helps give the local governments a voice in the policies and programs that are funded.

The Council is composed of one representative from each of the following member governments:

 Berthoud

 Garden City

  La Salle

 Timnath

 Eaton

 Greeley

  Loveland

 Weld CO

 Evans

 Johnstown

  Milliken

 Windsor

 Fort Collins

 Larimer CO

  Severance

The Planning Council also has a representative from both the Colorado Transportation Commission and the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission (AQCC). The Planning Council receives technical expertise and advice from the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and the Transit Advisory Group (TAG), which are comprised of staff from the member entities. Finally, the Council has a broad based public involvement process to gather input that leads to transportation plans and programs that consider the views of all citizens.
